Board of Directors

Serving November 1, 2025 – December 31, 2026

Presence Studio 501(c)(3) is run by a volunteer board of directors. This board consists of four officers and one to three members at large.

Officers

Cricket Sloan

President

Duties: The president shall preside over meetings of the organization and executive board, represent the organization at meetings outside the organization, serve as an ex officio member of all committees except the nominating committee, and coordinate the work of all the officers and committees so that the purpose of the organization is served.

Cricket Sloan combines business leadership, program management, and deep commitment to the dance community. She has been active in four dance communities that have called Presence Studio home, giving her unique insight into its role and value. With five years of nonprofit financial management experience as a school bookkeeper, she brings both organizational and fiscal expertise.

Renna Fir

Vice President

Duties: The vice president shall assist the president and carry out the president’s duties in their absence or inability to serve. The vice president shall also oversee the committees of this organization.

Renna Fir brings a decade of community organizing experience and proven leadership skills, including serving as Lead of the Relations Circle at the Lookout Arts Quarry. As a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist, Clinical Mental Health Counselor, and small business owner with deep ties to Presence Studio, Renna has the interpersonal expertise and strategic vision essential for effective board leadership. Their extensive experience facilitating groups and organizing people around common goals makes them uniquely qualified to serve as Vice President.

Sherry Helde

Secretary

Duties: The secretary shall keep all records of the organization, take and record minutes, prepare the agenda, handle correspondence, and send notices of meetings to the membership. The secretary also keeps a copy of the minutes book, bylaws, rules, membership list, and any other necessary supplies, and brings them to meetings.

Sherry Helde is the Director of A Loving Space Preschool. Being a part of a successful school community over the last 25 years, she knows the value of a community with a united vision. As a member of the 5 Rhythms and now Open Floor dance community for the last 20 years, she is invested in the sustainability of our dance community. Sherry is a great communicator and listener, with an eye for detail and strong organizational skills.

Ed Wayt

Treasurer

Duties: The treasurer shall receive all funds of the organization, keep an accurate record of receipts and expenditures, and pay out funds in accordance with the approval of the executive board. They will present a financial statement at every meeting and at other times of the year when requested by the executive board, and make a full report at the end of the year.

Ed Wayt has served this community for many years.

Members at Large

Additional board members are involved in board projects and help prevent stalemates in votes.

Morning Amani-Roe

Member at Large

Contribution: Participates in projects and decision-making to support board effectiveness.

Morning Amani-Roe is a Dance/Movement Therapist, musician, and visionary artist. I’ve lived in the Salish Sea bioregion for a dozen years with my two children and beloved community. I am invested in co-creating just and vibrant culture.

Daelinar Jon Wolfe Adama

Member at Large

Contribution: Participates in projects and decision-making to support board effectiveness.

Daelinar Jon Wolfe Adama is a freelance artist, Tai Chi instructor, DJ, and event facilitator involved in three communities who call Presence home. Over 40 years of work experience includes building management, CFO of a successful business, and serving on boards of two non-profits.
